Rugby at the Hotpoint
Fuck me, the atmosphere makes our home games sound like an old firm derby!

You can trust your average rugby fan to behave Pedro.

Not a huge rugby fan but went along to this. Think said crowd was 55k.

There were a few empty seats at one of the ends. Normal seats blocked off on the top tiers.

One thing that annoyed us was that there was no security checks - other than bag checks. Arrived at 2.20 and walked straight through the security areas.

Beers allowed in the seats - as is normal at the rugby and every seat had big flag things.

Obviously the L185 or whatever they are called prefer the rugby fans.

Then it would nearly have sunk as low as the Australian cricket team Sven.

Nearly.

Can we hire the tubby cunt in the off season to sink it down a few more feet?

Sven, Itoje on his own depressed the pitch a foot lower when he went over for a try

Why are they playing there?

Where do they usually play?

Re: Rugby at the Hotpoint
I hope they don't make a mess of the pitch, it would stop us playing our silky one touch football!

Re: Rugby at the Hotpoint
Good news is that the pitch will be about a foot lower after all these chubsters have rolled around on it for 80 mins so we might be able to get some more retractable seats in.

What are the ticket prices like for this?

Re: Rugby at the Hotpoint
I’m surprised there’s so many empty seats for this game. I can understand it with us, where people buy an extra season ticket or two and we have 19 games there, for the rugby though it is a one off so why buy a ticket if you’re not going to go.

Re: Rugby at the Hotpoint
There’s a fair number there who haven’t turned up too. Fuck it though, the day ends in a ‘Y’ so you’ll look for any angle to see anything as being bigger/better/greater than West Ham.

https://www.premiershiprugby.com/2017-2018/saracens-v-harlequins-is-sold-out/

Saracens is pleased to announce that tickets for Sarries vs Quins at London Stadium this weekend are now sold out.

The match up between London rivals Sarries and Quins has always been a popular fixture and Saracens now look forward to welcoming a 57,000 capacity crowd to London Stadium on Saturday.

Saracens chairman Nigel Wray said: “It’s great to have sold out the London Stadium on our first visit there, a stadium that all of us will forever associate with the likes of Usain Bolt, Mo Farah and Jessica Ennis-Hill

NOT WHUFC then??? Ha Ha!!!

Hermit Road 5:58 Sat Mar 24
Re: Rugby at the Hotpoint
It’s definitely a sellout , same as all our games.

If they can sell those tickets, it must be worth them having a rugby team in there for the season. Wonder what would stop them

Is it?? Just said it was a sell out ... someone is lying

Re: Rugby at the Hotpoint
You’re joking. Half the top tier is empty.

Re: Rugby at the Hotpoint
Strange how it looks suited to Rugby eh..... looks biggest crowd of the season... not too many WHITE seats on show

Hermit Road 5:48 Sat Mar 24
Re: Rugby at the Hotpoint
I was thinking that. The atmosphere is worse than anything served up in any of our games. So are the amount of empty seats. Mind you, it is rugby.

I was thinking if there’s anything to stop them having a rugby team there for the whole season?

Re: Rugby at the Hotpoint
Decent crowd ... just quiet ! Still they are probably drinking instead of cheering! Will be interested to know if Westfield let them in after !
